Genuine WWII leather US M3 modified shoulder holster for pistol M-1911A1 Cal .45, manufactured by Boyt and dated 1943. The sling and belt loop have been removed and a hook added to secure the holster on the metal eyelets of the M-1936 pistol belt. The name 'O. L. Gibson' was hallmarked in the leather.
Genuine WWII switchblade knife which was located in the small vertical pocket under the collar of the jump coat. Its purpose was to cut the canopy risers when landing in a difficult spot. This one is a short one with ring, with a black plastic horn-style handle, made by G. Schrade Presto Patent. The knife works.
